The Painting Begins

We began painting the exterior of the shop this week. We spent a long time scraping and scraping and scraping and scraping. Then some kind soul walked by and told us about some kind of finish that peels the paint right off. We couldn't get to Home Depot fast enough. We got the finish, stripped the white paint and recaulked the windows (Lauren pronounces the "L").

Postcards are Coming

Dear Ones,

Lauren designed a fantastic postcard for the shop. I think I'm in love. Write a little story about what you think is happening in the picture and we'll send you something awesome in the mail (in case it's not obvious - the "something awesome" will be a postcard).

We're Approved. It's Official

WE GOT FULL APPROVAL FROM THE CITY FOR USE AND DESIGN!!! Now we just have to sign the final lease. It was a little intimidating presenting our store design to a board of 10+ people. They even opened it to public comment - though no one had anything to say. The city officials said we had a very thorough presentation.

The Location is Officially Announced!

Now that it is official, we can show you the store front! The retail part is where the red and white paint is, our studio will be above where the green windows are. We will be repainting the facade, taking all the crap out of the windows and putting up a new sign.
